Asfare Group plc

Strategically refocused the business following a poor trading performance after an IPO

Capital Radio plc

Developed and implemented the re-alignment of the business from a regional structure to a brand based one to enable Capital to exploit acquisitive growth and achieve annual cost savings of £2m

Re-focused regional sales team from volume based activity to value added performance, resulting in reducing the sales team by 25%, saving £800,000 p.a, whilst maintaining overall revenues

Increased the overall yield of the available airtime advertising revenue by over 10% during a period of limited demand, by introducing an improved trading strategy

Responsible for the staging of a free open air concert for 70,000 people, featuring 20 acts

British Bus plc

The sale of the group to Cowie for a consideration of £293 million, following an aborted IPO

Integrated 7 major acquisitions in 11 months, with turnover increasing from £100 to £275 million

Implemented self-insured risk management system for the fleet with annual savings of £750,000 and improved cash flow of £7 million

Proactively flattened a wildly fluctuating cash flow, by the astute management of cash and re-negotiation with suppliers, resulting in facility savings of £5 million
